What is a landing page analyzer?
A landing page analyzer reads a live page and tells you what helps or hurts the one action you want visitors to take: book, buy, sign up or get in touch. LandingXray checks the things a conversion specialist looks at first and ranks the fixes, so you know what to change this week instead of reading a list of 80 warnings.
How your score is calculated
Your page gets a 0–100 score in six categories. The overall score is a weighted average; the weights shift a little with the page's goal (a booking page leans more on trust, a shop more on speed). These are the default weights:
| Category | Weight | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| Conversion | 30% | A call to action in the first screen, specific button wording, a path that fits your goal |
| UX & design | 20% | One main headline, scannable sections, mobile layout, navigation that doesn't pull visitors away |
| Copywriting | 15% | A clear headline, benefits over features, “you” over “we”, concrete numbers |
| Trust & proof | 15% | Reviews, client logos, guarantees, contact details, HTTPS |
| SEO | 10% | Title and meta description, headings, structured data, indexability |
| Performance | 10% | Real mobile or desktop speed from Google PageSpeed: LCP, CLS, blocking time |

What to fix first
- The first screen. A headline that says what you offer and one clear button. See writing landing page headlines and the free headline analyzer.
- The button. Say what happens next (“Get my quote”), not “Submit”. Try the CTA button checker.
- Proof near the decision. Reviews and logos next to the form, not in the footer. Read landing page trust signals.
- Mobile speed. Aim for the main content in under 2.5 seconds. Start with the landing page speed guide.

FAQ
Is the landing page analyzer free?
Yes. You can run 3 audits without an account and get your score and top fixes. A free account (no credit card) unlocks the full report, the PDF and a share link, plus 3 audits every month.
How long does an audit take?
Usually 20 to 60 seconds. Most of that time is the speed test, which loads your page the way a real phone or laptop would.
Should I test on mobile or desktop?
Test the device most of your visitors use. For paid social and most local businesses that is mobile. B2B pages that get traffic from work laptops are worth a desktop run too.
Does it work on any website builder?
Yes. It reads the live page, so WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Framer and hand-coded pages all work. The page only needs to be public.
Where does the speed data come from?
From Google PageSpeed Insights, measured on your live page. The score never invents numbers: speed and SEO come only from measured data and fixed checks.
Can I audit a competitor's landing page?
You can analyze any public page. Comparing your score with a competitor's is a quick way to see where their page earns more trust or makes the next step clearer.
What happens to the pages I analyze?
We store the report so you can reopen and share it. We don't change anything on your site, and you can delete your audits from the dashboard at any time.
